The monumental interfaith Build for Unity project which aims to bring people from all different faiths and backgrounds together to build hope, homes, and unity is officially 67% funded with the hopes to begin construction on the project this Fall.
Following a moving groundbreaking ceremony in May, both future Habitat homes that are part of the #BuildforUnity project are currently in the infrastructure phase with both future homeowners working on their 500 hours of sweat equity.
Build for Unity has been gaining momentum through various faith partners with annual monthly events that are aimed at raising funds and awareness for Build for Unity, as well as bringing people of different backgrounds and faiths together for new experiences. Such events have included an “Eat for Unity” event at the Sikh Temple in West Sacramento and a “Break the Fast Feast” Iftar Ramadan Dinner.
