Health Net Federal Services donates $150,000 to sponsor first ever Veteran Home Build Project
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is excited to announce that Health Net Federal Services, LLC., (HNFS) will be partnering to help build a home for a local Veteran family. The partnership includes a $150,000 donation to cover the costs of construction on the project, as well as hundreds of volunteers from HNFS who will aid in the construction of the home.

Habitat ReStore Partnering with ArtStreet

#BuildforUnity Update: It’s time to raise walls
The foundation is set, the $176,000 in funding has been raised, and now it’s officially time to raise walls on the monumental Habitat project that has brought over 180 local faith supporters from all over the community together to build hope and unity.
Pride and Property Taxes: A moment of reflection with CEO Rob Kerth
As December 10th rolls around, I find myself reflecting on what for most of us is a grudging ritual. Yup, you guessed it, paying the first installment on our property taxes.
I just signed checks for $105,554.66 to do just this, passing on the escrowed payments for our now 138 Habitat homeowners.
While I suppose tax paying will always be a little grudgey, the thing I’m feeling more than anything else is pride for our homeowners.
The shouting is over, it’s time for the hammering to begin. Construction begins on the Build for Unity project.
In the wake of a difficult and divisive week for America, this Friday and Saturday volunteers from the Congregation B’nai Israel and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church gathered in the Habitat trenches to roll up their sleeves and build a foundation for unity and two new homes in our community.
