DESCRIPTION:Join Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento on Saturday\, June 6\, for the first of three home dedication ceremonies celebrating eight partner families receiving the keys to their very first homes. \nThis special milestone represents our largest development to date. Located on Sayonara Drive in Citrus Heights\, this 26-home community will provide stable\, affordable housing for nearly 120 individuals\, including children. \nEach homeowner has invested 500 hours of sweat equity helping build their home and is purchasing it through a 30-year\, 0% interest equivalent mortgage—making the dream of homeownership a reality. \nBe part of this inspiring celebration of perseverance\, partnership\, and new beginnings. Together\, we’re building strength\, stability\, and self-reliance through shelter. \nWhile RSVPs are not required\, we encourage you to let us know if you plan to attend to help us prepare for the celebration. \nAbout the Citrus Heights DevelopmentThis new affordable housing community will provide: \n\nRevitalization of previously vacant and blighted lots\n26 all-electric\, EV-ready duet homes (2–5 bedrooms\, 1\,005–1\,594 sq. ft.)\nSolar battery storage for energy efficiency and sustainability\nHomeownership opportunities for families earning 30–80% of Area Median Income (AMI)\nAffordable 30-year\, 0% interest equivalent fixed-rate mortgages\nA “hand up\, not a handout\,” empowering long-term financial stability and generational wealth\n\nThis development is made possible through partnerships with the City of Citrus Heights\, California Department of Housing and Community Development\, the Office of U.S. Representative Ami Bera\, and the generous contributions of our donors and community supporters.
