Night Of the Event - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento
What time does the event start?
The reception begins at 5:30pm with seating for dinner beginning at 6:45pm. This is a ticketless event and no tickets will be sold at the door. When you arrive, please proceed to the check-in table at the West Steps of the State Capitol (1315 10th Street Sacramento, CA 95814) and provide your name for entrance to the Gala. When you check-in, you will have the opportunity to swipe your credit card for an seamless auction check-out at the end of the night.
What time does the event end?
The program portion of the event will end at 9:30pm. The official Gala after-party will take place from 10pm-Midnight across the street at The Diplomat with complimentary gourmet appetizers, music and dancing by Beat-Fleet DJ’s and a no-host bar. Tickets to the Gala automatically get you into the after-party.
What should I wear?
The Hard Hats & High Heels Gala is a formal black-tie event. Most of our guests wear tuxes, suits, gowns, and dresses.
What is on the menu for this year’s event?
Our fabulous event caterer and presenting sponsor, Statehouse at the Capitol , has put together an amazing seasonally-inspired Al Fresco menu for our 2018 event. What is on the list for this year’s live auction?
The reception will include a complimentary selection of wine, sparkling wine, and beer. Dinner will be accompanied by specially selected varietals from the Amador Vintner’s Association. All wine, sparkling wine, and beer is included with your ticket to the event. There will be a cocktail cash bar at the Official Gala After-Party at the Diplomat.

Where do I park?
Complimentary valet is available to all attendees. Please note that 10th Street in between L Street and N Street will be closed for the event. Valet Parking and drop off will be available via 9th Street at the traffic circle. (Please see map below for more details) Valet service will be available until 10:30pm for vehicle pick up. After 10:30pm all keys for any remaining vehicles will be given to Shannin Stein our Operations Manager who will be at the West Steps overseeing the breakdown of the event. Shannin will be on site at the Capitol until 8am Saturday morning. After 8am, arrangements can be made with Shannin to either pick up keys from our location at 819 N. 10th Street, or at the Capitol depending on Shannin’s availability.
