Veteran Home Repair Program 

Our general application period for home repairs is currently closed. If you are interested in applying for our home repair program during the next open application period, please review the requirements below and complete the notification form so we can let you know when our next application opportunity arises later this fall.

If you are a resident of the South Oak Park/Fruitridge Pocket neighborhood, we are currently accepting applications for participation in Rock the Block coming to your area on October 19th and 20th. Applications are available at the South Oak Park Community Association meeting in July and August, at National Night Out at Jack Davis Park on August 7th, or by emailing our office at

About the Veteran Home Repair Program:

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento works with Veteran homeowners in need of assistance to maintain, stay in their homes, and age gracefully in their homes

Application Requirements:

  1. Applicants must be a Veteran and have served as active military. (Must be able to provide copy of DD 214).
  2. Applicants must own and occupy the home as their primary residence.
  3. Applicants must be willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento by contributing “sweat equity” volunteer labor hours to the repair project.  Those who are not physically able to help with repairs must participate in other volunteer opportunities.
  4. Applicants must have the ability to pay a portion of the total repair costs.

Applicant’s income should fall within the following low income limits based on household size:
