Veteran Home Repair Program 

Our general application period for home repairs is currently closed. If you are interested in applying for our Home Repair program, please review the requirements below and complete the inquiry form. We will notify you when our next application period opens.

About the Veteran Home Repair Program:

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento works with Veteran homeowners to fix the long-deferred maintenance projects, critical repairs and code violations and help veterans stay in their already affordable homes and avoid displacement.

Due to the complexity of the work and type of materials needed, we are unable to provide Home Repairs to the following types of dwellings: Mobile Homes, Motor Homes, and Trailers. 

Application Requirements:
  1. Applicants must be a Veteran and have served as active military. (Must be able to provide copy of DD 214).
  2. Applicants must own and occupy the home as their primary residence.
  3. Applicants must be willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento by contributing Sweat Equity volunteer labor hours to the repair project.  Those who are not physically able to help with repairs must participate in other volunteer opportunities.
  4. Applicants must have the ability to pay a portion of the total repair costs.

Applicant’s income should fall within the following low income limits based on household size:
