Citrus Heights Phase 3 Applications Open Now!
Thank you for your interest in our Homeownership program! Applications for Phase 3 are open now through March 25, 2026.
We are now accepting applications for 15 homes at our Sayonara Drive development, featuring 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom options. Homes will be sold to qualified applicants through affordable 30-year, 0% interest equivalent mortgages.
Interested applicants must attend an in-person or virtual information session prior to applying.

We will be hosting three in-person information sessions at 6:00 PM at the Citrus Heights Event Center on the following dates:
- Monday, January 26
- Friday, January 30
- Friday, February 6
During this mandatory information session, attendees will learn:
- Who qualifies for a Habitat for Humanity home
- What the homeownership application process involves
- Details about home designs and energy-efficient features
- Expectations for sweat equity and partnership with Habitat

Applications may be completed online or mailed to our offices at 819 N 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811. Additionally, we will have in-person application submission sessions at the following locations and times:
Citrus Heights City Hall 6360 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights, CA, on the following dates:
- Wednesday, February 11th – 10AM-4PM
- Wednesday, February 18th – 4PM-7PM
- Wednesday, February 25th – 10AM-4PM
- Wednesday, March 4th – 10AM-4PM
- Wednesday, March 11th – 4PM-7PM
- Wednesday, March 18th – 10AM-4PM
Both Citrus Heights City Hall and the Habitat Office at 819 N 10th Street, Sacramento, CA on the following dates:

Future Habitat homeowners must meet three core qualifications:

Applicants must be willing to act as a true partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento. Our partner families must sign a partnership agreement and agree to:

Applicants must have the ability to pay for the house. A mortgage is 30% of the homeowner’s gross monthly income and includes property taxes and insurance. Mortgages are fixed 30-year mortgages at 0% interest or 0% interest equivalent. An applicant’s income should fall within the following 30-80% of Area Median Income range based on household size.

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limits are valid from April 2025 to April 2026 and are anticipated to be adjusted in April 2026.

Habitat homes are located throughout Sacramento County.
We build homes and communities where we can acquire land that makes development affordable to future homeowners. New homes are typically simple, contemporary, all-electric single family homes with some private outdoor space and a garage.
