Company Team Building
We are currently scheduling group volunteer opportunities for July 2022 and beyond.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
Corporate volunteering is an exciting way to empower your entire team and boost employee morale. Team Building volunteer opportunities are great for companies of all sizes who are looking to get out of the office and make a tangible difference in your community. There are a variety of ways for your business, church, or organization to get involved. Teams and businesses that partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento are helping change lives, eliminate poverty housing, and build a stronger community.

Construction Build Opportunities
One-Day Construction Build Events:
Build and repair homes in your community! Gather your team and head to a Habitat worksite. Corporate volunteers build alongside Habitat’s homeowners while strengthening their team’s communication skills. For a meaningful and productive experience, teams build from 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and are led by our skilled construction staff — no experience is required.
Teams contribute a tax-deductible donation based on the size of your group which help cover the cost of materials, building supplies, safety equipment, and supervision. For teams who would like matching t-shirts and lunch, this can also be accommodated. Builds are often sponsored by corporate giving, community fundraising, or fundraising through social media. Habitat staff can provide guidance in meeting your fundraising goals.
Construction Build opportunities are scheduled Friday through Saturday throughout the year and are scheduled on a first-come basis. Scheduling is subject to date availability.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento also hosts a variety of “theme builds” throughout the year which are great group volunteer opportunities!
Some of our themed build events include:
Women Build – 500 women from across the region will come together this March to show their strength!
Rock the Block – 400+ volunteers join together annually for Habitat’s Neighborhood Revitalization blitz build event!
Interfaith Build for Unity– over interfaith harmony week 2022, 200+ interfaith volunteers will join together to build hope, homes, and unity.
If your team is interested in hearing about opportunities to partner beyond a one-day build or multiple build day opportunities, we have various project and event sponsorship opportunities available. We offer company sponsorship opportunities to meet the needs of any size business, with packages that include group volunteer build days as well as high visibility PR and marketing benefits.
For more information about sponsorships, please contact Laine Himmelmann at LHimmelmann@HabitatGreaterSac.org
Playhouse Build Opportunities
Provide a child a playful retreat to call their own while supporting affordable housing in the Greater Sacramento Area. At Habitat for Humanity Playhouse build days, corporate teams assemble and decorate children’s playhouses, which are then donated to families and local community charities. Flexible scheduling make Playhouse Builds easy for teams and events of any size.
For Playhouse Team Build days, we ask for a donation of $2,000 per playhouse. Each playhouse can accommodate about 10 volunteers. Builds are often sponsored by corporate giving, community fundraising, or fundraising through social media. Habitat staff can provide guidance in meeting your fundraising goals.
Playhouse Build opportunities are available throughout the year and are scheduled on a first-come basis. Scheduling is subject to date availability.
ReStore Volunteer Day
Not in a position to make a donation, but still interested in helping out? Put together a team to help volunteer in the ReStore!
ReStore volunteer days take place in the ReStore, which is our retail outlet that operates much like a “Goodwill meets Home Depot”. ReStore volunteers help sort, clean, price, and assemble donated product which we sell to the public to raise funds to offset building costs.
Teams of 10-20 can be accommodated with opportunities throughout the week. Scheduling is subject to date availability.
