Sasha’s life revolves around her four children: Angel, Akira, Kenzie, and baby Shai. As a single mother, she works tirelessly to provide for her family, but their current living situation poses significant challenges. They live in a cramped two-bedroom apartment where the lack of space makes everyday life a struggle. Angel and Akira share one bedroom, Sasha shares the second with Kenzie, and baby Shai sleeps in the living room.
The overcrowded conditions mean there’s little room for the children to focus on their studies or pursue personal interests. Angel and Akira, both teenagers with big dreams, find it difficult to concentrate on homework amidst the noise and chaos. Kenzie, an energetic and curious preschooler, has no space to play freely, while Shai’s needs as an infant add an extra layer of complexity to the family’s daily routine. For Sasha, maintaining her work performance while managing these challenges requires extraordinary strength and determination.
Despite the difficulties, Sasha remains hopeful. Her dream is to provide her children with a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive. Their future Habitat for Humanity home will offer the space and stability they desperately need. Angel and Akira will be able to have their own rooms to study and grow into confident young adults. Kenzie will enjoy a space to play and develop her creativity, while Shai will experience the comfort of a proper nursery.
