U.S. Bank to match first $15,000 in holiday season donations to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento

#GivingTuesday, a global 24-hour giving movement on December 1st, marks the kickoff of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento’s “Build Hope for the Holidays” campaign. Now through December 31st, U.S. Bank will match the first $15,000 in donations made to help Habitat keep building and repairing homes in the greater Sacramento region!

As a long-time partner in the Habitat mission to build and repair affordable housing in the greater Sacramento community, US Bank has partnered with Habitat to build and repair homes for over two decades. US Bank and its employee volunteers have supported virtually every existing Habitat program, including Home Builds, Home Repairs, Playhouse Builds, Rock the Block, and Women Build events. In 2020, the organization has donated a cumulative $55,000 – including a $15,000 match pledge for Habitat’s holiday donation campaign, kicking off on Giving Tuesday, December 1st.

Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday is a global donation movement following the shopping sprees of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Millions of supporters worldwide take a moment to reflect and give back to the nonprofits and causes they love.

This holiday season, when you support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento, your donation directly supports the construction and repair of safe, affordable housing for low-income families, seniors, and veterans. When having a safe place to call home for the holidays means more than ever, your donation can also make double the impact when matched by U.S. Bank.

“Every individual and family deserves access to safe, accessible and affordable housing – that’s why U.S. Bank has volunteered nearly 20,000 hours with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento over the years,” said Pam Maxwell, Sacramento market Community Affairs Manager at U.S. Bank. “By matching donations, we are powering the potential for others to make a difference in their communities one neighborhood at a time.”
