Veterans Service Day: Honoring Those Who Served

Join Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento for a special Veterans Build Day of Service—a heartfelt event dedicated to honoring those who have served our country.

Our veterans protected our homes — now it’s our turn to protect theirs.

This one-day community event will unite veterans, active-duty service members, sponsors, and volunteers to complete critical home repairs that make homes safer, more energy-efficient, and more affordable for qualified veteran homeowners across Sacramento and Yolo counties.

Event Highlights

• Veteran-Led Team Leadership: Each project is managed by Habitat’s veteran staff, bringing construction expertise and a deep understanding of the unique needs of fellow veterans.
• Home Repairs for Veterans: Repairs range from accessibility modifications and fence repairs to dry rot removal and painting — all focused on safety, stability, and comfort for veteran homeowners.
• Strengthening the Veteran Community: Veterans will participate as both volunteers and homeowners, creating a supportive environment that celebrates service and builds lasting connections.
