Daughter: Bersabeh; Grandmother: Tseganesh

For Eyob and Meiraf, family is rooted in togetherness, perseverance, and a shared vision for the future. As they raise their daughter, Bersabeh, and care for Eyob’s mother, Tseganesh, they remain focused on creating a home environment grounded in stability and support.
Eyob has dedicated more than 13 years to his work at Mercy General Hospital, demonstrating a strong commitment to both his profession and his community. Together, he and Meiraf continue to prioritize their family’s well-being, working steadily toward long-term goals that will provide greater opportunity for their daughter.
Before partnering with Habitat for Humanity, the family lived in a two-bedroom apartment that felt increasingly crowded for a household of four. Eyob and Meiraf shared a bedroom with their young daughter, while Tseganesh used the second bedroom. With only one bathroom and limited living space, daily routines often required compromise, leaving little room for privacy or quiet.
As their daughter grows, they have remained focused on creating an environment where she can play, learn, and simply enjoy being a child without limitations.
Now, their Habitat home provides the space and comfort their family has long been working toward, and a stability that supports every member of the household. Eyob and Meiraf are ecstatic to offer Bersabeh an environment where she finally has the opportunity to thrive, with room to grow, explore, and fully embrace the joys of childhood. Tseganesh also has her own dedicated space, where she can feel at ease to rest and enjoy her family.
As new homeowners, Eyob and Meiraf feel a renewed sense of dignity and hope. Their Habitat home is more than a milestone—it is a place where their family can continue building a vibrant future filled with connection, community, and opportunity.
