Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is excited to announce a new partnership with Whole Foods Market who will be coming on board this year as our new Grocery Sponsor!
A longtime supporter of Habitat through their 5% day which raised enough funds to partially sponsor a home for the Nguyen family in 2012, Whole Foods will now have a hand in making sure every completed Habitat home in Sacramento and Yolo County is stocked with healthy and quality groceries.
“Our home dedications are always such a special day for our families.” says Laine Himmelmann, Corporate Development & PR Officer for Habitat. “They have worked so hard to bring this dream to life. When they turn the key and walk through their front door into the kitchen and see the cupboards full of groceries, it’s just the icing on the cake.”
Christina Clarke, Whole Foods Market Metro Marketing and Community Relations Lead for Sacramento and Reno, is excited about the partnership as well.
“Whole Foods Market is proud to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento as a grocery sponsor,” says Christina. “The work that Habitat for Humanity does in the community is not only inspiring, but also directly strengthens the fabric of our local communities by uplifting those in need. We look forward to lending a hand in this mission by providing the highest quality grocery products in each new home that Habitat for Humanity dedicates to families throughout the greater Sacramento area.”
Whole Foods Market will be providing groceries to every Habitat Greater Sacramento home dedicated in the 2016-2017 fiscal year, beginning next Saturday for the Cebrero/Lara family dedication on July 9th.
