About Rock the Block Oak Park
Rock the Block is an extraordinary two-day community initiative, uniting hundreds of volunteers and supporters to collaborate with local residents in accomplishing numerous vital home repairs, property enhancements, and community projects over the span of a weekend.
By channeling financial contributions and thousands of volunteer hours, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento transforms these resources into substantial community investments in neglected areas.
Community Investment Projects
Help us identify meaningful ways to support your neighborhood. What projects or partnerships would you like to see included in this year’s Rock the Block? Ideal projects consist of :
- Spaces utilized by the community at large
- Exterior projects, such as fencing, exterior paint, landscaping, shade structures, etc.
Rock the Block Impact Since 2018
- 4,900+ volunteers have contributed over 31,000 hours
- Over $4.5M invested, averaging $400K annually
- 150 home repair projects completed
- Over 34 community projects completed

Rock the Block was a huge success in Oak Park on May 8th and 9th, 2026, where hundreds of volunteers gathered to complete essential home repairs, neighborhood rejuvenation, and various community projects.
