Future Habitat homeowners must meet three core qualifications:

Applicants must have the ability to pay for the house. A typical mortgage is 30% of the homeowner’s gross monthly income and includes property taxes and insurance. Mortgages are fixed payment, 30-year mortgages at 0% interest or 0% interest equivalent. An applicant’s income should fall within the following 30-80% of Area Median Income range based on household size.

Habitat homes are located throughout Sacramento County.
We build homes and communities where we can acquire land that makes development affordable to future homeowners. New homes are typically simple, contemporary, all-electric single family homes consisting of 2 – 5 bedrooms, some private outdoor space, and a garage.
