Partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is an excellent way to promote your corporate social responsibility goals to customers while making a lasting impact in our communities. Donating materials saves companies the hassle and expense of disposing materials, while keeping quality items out of landfills and provides companies a tax deduction for their donations. Plus our skilled logistics team and 30 foot truck will come pick up your donations!
Donated materials and services of all sorts have helped Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento further our work, and brought opportunity and resources to families in need of a decent place to call home. When organizations donate materials or services, those donations are considered gifts-in-kind. We accept in-kind gifts such as building materials, furniture, appliances, HVAC, cabinets, plumbing and much more. These materials are used to build homes or sold in our ReStore with the proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento.
Every company has the opportunity to partner with Habitat to build a stronger community.
There’s never a shortage of opportunities to partner. In addition to donating in-kind materials and product to our ReStore and construction projects, this year we’ve also seen more and more companies start to partner in unique ways. For instance, last fall at our annual Hard Hats and High Heels Gala we proudly displayed a one of a kind HOME sign created and donated by Vision Machinery on the West Steps of the Capitol. Vision Machinery offers one of the largest manufacturing machinery showrooms in the West and generously donated in kind services to create our HOME sign. We also received a large supply of office furniture from PG&E (which we used to replace our desks which were previously held together by duct tape!) and Safe Credit Union donated their old desktop computers to our team which allowed our staff to graduate from Windows 95.
As a locally supported nonprofit, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is always looking for creative ways to engage and partner with corporations who want to build a stronger community. If your company is interested in donating building materials for home construction, overstock items for resale in our ReStore, volunteering and financially supporting one of our construction projects, or brainstorming on unique ways to partner (using your expertise and resources!) like Vision Machinery, we are always looking for ways to bring more people into the Habitat family so we can impact more lives.
