Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is excited to announce that Health Net Federal Services, LLC., (HNFS) will be partnering to help build a home for a local Veteran family. The partnership includes a $150,000 donation to cover the costs of construction on the project, as well as hundreds of volunteers from HNFS who will aid in the construction of the home.
“Health Net Federal Services is honored to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento in support of a local veteran here in the city where our company started nearly 30 years ago. Since our inception, we have been committed to serving the healthcare needs of military and veteran families in honor of their service and sacrifice. Transforming the health – and well-being – of those who serve their fellow citizens is the purpose of our company. Through this partnership, our employees are proud to work with Habitat for Humanity volunteers to build the first veteran home in our community,” shared Billy Maynard, President and CEO of Health Net Federal Services.
The sponsorship is the largest financial home sponsorship donation from a single donor in Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento’s 31 year history.
The Veteran Home Build project will be newly constructed, built to the highest level of green building standards, and available for purchase through a 30-year, zero-percent or zero-percent equivalent mortgage for a Veteran partner family that qualifies under the guidelines of the Habitat home ownership program.
